orgaine's Well is a company
inspired by paganism and ancient beliefs. That can be seen in all it's aspects.
Consider, for example, the logo. You might be able to recognize the symbolism on it if you have read certain mythical stories. Its most prominent feature is the triple moon, sacred to the triple goddess.
This symbol is very special to me.
Along with the triple moon there is the symbol of the Well. Again, it is a goddess symbol, but for artists it is also so much more.
Periodically we all go down inside a very dark place within ourselves and when we come out, we come out carrying something with us. Something we can share with others. Artists tend to give a shape to this universal energy.
We shape the divine. Then we reach out with it and we touch everyone who comes into contact with our creation that we have pulled out from within the Well of our own being, which is the same Well that everyone else draws from. Everything is connected with everything else...

he harp is a symbol of history and the struggles artists and their arts have endured. I keep it as a reminder to never to sell out, for the story of the harp is a lamentable one. In Ireland there were a group of people called Seachain, and they knew all the old tales as well as the new ones, and they carried their harps around and brought the news all over the nation.
Then, Cromwell came to Ireland and the British invasion begun. He ripped the harps out of the hands of these sacred Bards and made a bonfire out of them. But it doesn't matter how much art you destroy. Art is an unstoppable force and the harp is a symbol of survival and of beauty and that the arts will never be silenced. They were here before humanity, they will be here after we are gone. We should enjoy them while we can, not destroy them.
The symbol engraved in the shield leaning against the Well is Perthro, a Norse rune. It is the rune of fate, that mysterious thing we all answer to. It is about the primal layers of time. What can we take from the past to ensure a good future? It is also the rune of initiation and essentially the same symbol as my Well.

Finally, there are two more symbols to be found in the logo of Morgaine's Well. One of them is an old druid teaching.
The trees, they symbolize the world tree that reaches its roots branching into the earth like branches to hold up the sky. Then the branches of the tree reaching into the sky, like roots reaching deeper and deeper for water. As above, so below.
Now we have runes, world trees and sacred Druid teachings... But there is still one remaining piece to this puzzle. Odin, king of the Norse gods, hung from the world tree for seven days and seven nights, and in the end... he discovered or created the runes. He was hanging from the world tree looking at the well of inspiration...
That is the story of the logo. I love the logo as I created it, it has morphed with time, as does everything else.
