 riginally there was no written language... There was only word of mouth. So people created stories to explain nature and their ancient ways of life. Then their minds began to have great questions. (Unanswerable deep questions that bring one closer to one's true self)
They began to ask why do we live? Why do we die? What happens to us when we die? How did we get here to begin with? Soon, there was discussion.... How can there be questions without answers? These ancient cultures created the first art. The art that explained their world and answered their questions. They kept it alive by passing it on word of mouth for thousands of years. |  |
As they learned they accumulated more and more made up wisdom but much of it was just common sense set up in a way that would be remembered because back then survival was more difficult.
They created magical traditions and pantheons and stories. Even now they have not been forgotten. From the well of inspiration these stories and traditions of magic that differ slightly ancient culture to ancient culture arose, at a time when humanity needed them. To the well, like the great sword Excalibur they could go back to if they are forgotten only to be drawn from the well again... | |
The products created and carried by Morgaine's Well, are inspired by what is left of these old traditions and stories.
